Change name of the repository server
Our repository server is being refreshed next month and they want to change the name. I have read the 3928 patch readme but it doesn't support changing the name of the server. It's ECC 6.0. Thanks in advance.

If you can keep the IP address and DNS alias there may be a pretty straightforward work-around, but there are a lot of variables which could make this not work.

Any reason the server team won't let you keep the same name and IP address to make your life easier?

As per my information, The fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the EMC ControlCenter infrastructure server is kept in the EMC ControlCenter Repository. If the ControlCenter infrastructure server FQDN is modified, it will result in duplicate entries for the server being created in the Repository that cannot be deleted.
EMC strongly recommends specifying host network names instead of IP addresses during ControlCenter installation. By using this approach, when IP addresses change, you will not have to change the configuration of the ControlCenter infrastructure or agents.

It most certainly does not and nor does HF 3322 for ControlCenter 5.2. And as per Nimai, the name is stored in the Repository which cannot be changed.
