Change Host Master Agent Settings
Is there an easy way to change the Master Agent settings to point to a different Control Center Server?
We are installing a new 6.x Control Center box, but all of the hosts (Windows, HPUX, Solaris, etc.) still point to the old server.
We uninstalled the 5.x agent and installed a 6.x agent on a few hosts, but we have 100+ more to go and I was hoping to automate this without rebooting the hosts???
Thanks

I installed a host and master agent on a linux host from a 5.2 SP4 environment, and then stopped the host and master agent on the host.
Modified the /usr/ecc/exec/ctg.ini file
Changed Server Host = x.x.x.x to point to the new ControlCenter 6.0 infrastructure box.
Then restarted the Master Agent. It populated itself into our ControlCenter 6.0 infrastructure. Then start the Host Agent from ControlCenter Console. Of course both will be 5.2 SP4 versions at this stage, so from the ControlCenter Console I then right click the host object and do agents, upgrade. At which time it indicates I can upgrade the Master and Host Agents.
Everything should then complete, you will then have an upgrade master agent and host agent (both running 6.0 versions).
Be sure to then right click host and select agent, apply patch so that the master agent 6.0 installed can be patched up to the correct level.
Similar thing should work on a Windows host, but not had a chance to test it out yet.
