Added disk to DMX-4- Cant mask device through ECC.

In addition to adding new disk, our CE upgraded DMX to firmware 5772.101. WE zoned a new windows 2003 server to FA. Configured meta vols and started masking process through ECC. We could see all new disk drives, selected the ones we wanted to mask and did the GRANT. Hit continue and the modify masking preview screen popped up but the devices we selected to mask are no longer displayed.
We ended up MANUALLY masking devices via command line.
A reboot of ECC posed no change.
We have alot of systems so configure.

The first place I would start with this would be to go to the Symm and SDM agent host and manually run a 'symcfg discover'. Then I would go back to the ControlCenter console and stop and start those Symm and SDM agents. This should force a rediscovery. Give it a while to complete, then see if this has corrected your problem.
This isn't guaranteed to fix things, but at least it will give you the best chance at getting a current state picture of the DMX configuration.

Might want to check and make sure the mapping and zoning align as well.
