XPS8700 mSATA 32GB - What is it used for?
I have an XPS8700 which came with a 32GM mSATA drive. The original OS was Win8. I had upgraded it to Win8.1 and subsequently to Win10. Win10 had become unbootable in 2017 and I paid Dell Technical Support to have Win10 reinstalled. I cannot see this mSATA drive in Windows Explorer. However, I can see it in the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Application.
What is this mSATA used for? Is it just used by the PC as a cache and so it is not visible in Windows Explorer?
