XPS 8500 - 2 SSDs plus the HDD?
I have a 1TB HDD installed plus a 120 GB SSD boot drive. I want to upgrade to a 1TB SSD. So can I install the new SSD and keep the old SSD boot drive? Is there room? Or do I have to remove the small SSD and then install the new larger SSD?

It would depend on the specific computer model and its available storage bays.
If your computer has an extra storage bay available, you may be able to install the new 1TB SSD alongside the existing 120GB SSD. You may need to check the physical dimensions of the new SSD to ensure it fits in the available storage bay, and also check the SATA and power connectors to ensure they match the ones on the existing SSD.
If your computer does not have an extra storage bay, you may need to remove the existing 120GB SSD and replace it with the new 1TB SSD. In this case, you would need to backup any important data from the old SSD before removing it, and then install the new SSD and reinstall the operating system and any necessary drivers and applications.
It's always a good idea to consult your computer's manual or manufacturer website for specific instructions and compatibility information before attempting to upgrade or replace any hardware components.

Well, I did go ahead and install Crucial (Micron) 1TB SSD. Cloned the 120 GB SSD to the new SSD per Crucial instructions, then just swapped them out. No problems after several weeks now. Turns out there are only two drive bays in the XPS 8500. So now I have the 1TB SSD plus the 1TB HDD. Note my system is i5. Perhaps the i7 is different. Also, one could aways just use an external drive to increase capacity.
