XPi upgrade to Windows 98
I just got an older XPi that I wanted for word processing. The trouble is that it has windows 95 without a wp program. It has only a 3.5 floppy at the moment, but fortunately I have a floppy for windows 98. I was told that in order to upgrade the version of windows, I'd have to get copies of the drivers for the system. Where do I find these, and how do I then install 98? Do I take 95 off first? I ask because I tried to see if the uninstall link worked and it doesn't. It's got BIOS A09, incidentally. Any help is appreciated.

To install W98 after you get a CDROM, you need to Delete the Primary/Extended DOS/Logical Drive Partitions with a W98 Boot Disk and start over, if you are going to use the existing drive. Do not delete the smallish NonDOS Partition(if present) as that is your Suspend to Disk Partition. After deleting the existing DOS partitions, be sure to answer the Large Disk Support Question in Fdisk with Y always. That will give you the more efficient FAT32 format; if you answer it N, FAT16 with its 2.1gb partitions will be the result.
It might be wise to consider a larger drive if the present one is 2gb or smaller. A 6.0-6.5gb is a good size for the XPi and many are available on Ebay.
