WB7022 chrashes system

My setup:

XPS15 (2022) Windows 11 pro

TB16 docking station

U3818DW

just got the wb7022 webcam and it keeps on crashing the whole system when plugged into anywhere else but straight (via dongle) to the xps15. 
As soon as any of the other USB Ports (on the docking station) are used an the camera is used --> "blue" screen.

Dell peripheral shows the camera and lets me set it up as long as its directly connected to the xps15. When I use the USB ports from the tb16, I see a scrambled picture from the cam for half a second before the system crashes.
