Ultra-Slow SDD (30-70 MB/S) in Dell XPS13
Hi there guys
I've bought a Dell XPS about 2 years ago for my studies. Since the beginning in thought something (speed, performance) might be a bit off, but i never really much cared as everything worked as good as i needed.
Now lately i was noticing really slow speed of my samsung SSD PM851 M.2. I was googling around a lot, but everyone speaking of "slow" SSD is talking about speeds in the lower 100s..
It takes ages for the computer to copy a medium to big amount of data.. If i check 3-4 folders for their size it takes my computer almost 2 minutes to fully calculate how much space they are using. after searching around alot i have not found anything that could help me with my problem.
DellSupport Assist says everything is OK and up-to-date
I checked my disk with disk manager and all seems fine..
Here following my AS Benchmark, ive ran it multiple times:
Anyone has an idea what this is all about? What can i do to improve my speed? i mean, this is HDD level.. worse it feels.
thanks everyone for the help and sorry for my language -im not a native speaker..

Hi.
Welcome to our community.
We’d like to try assist you. As the system is responding slowly, we’ll have to isolate issues between hardware and software. Hence we recommend you to complete the hardware diagnostics. Here’s the link with the steps to complete the same. Kindly share the error code and validation code if you find any.

Thank you for running through the diagnostics. We are happy that there are no hardware issues found with the system. We’ll now concentrate on the Operating system and try getting the issue resolved. We request you to perform a clean boot on the system to find if the system is performing due to some third party applications or the Operating system itself.
You can follow this link to find the steps to perform clean boot. Restart the system and check the performance. Also, Share the following information via private message, so that we can check for more details and assist you. To send a private message, click on my name and select ‘Send private message’.
1. Service tag/ express service code
2. Email address
3. Registered owner’s name of the system
The Service Tag is a 7-character code, and the Express Service Tag is a 10-digit code that is a numeric version of the Service Tag. Both codes are on the bottom of your laptop. You can also refer to this link which is a video that shows steps to find the service tag.

Thanks for your reply
I made completely clean boot, sadly it didnt help at all. writing speed seems a little bit higher, but still not there yet.
I'll send you the requested data per private message
