"Threed.vbx Outdated" Error When Reinstalling Sonic

I am trying to reinstall Sonic RecordNow 6.5.3 from the CD that came with my computer.

I get the error message "Run-time error '368:  The file THREED.VBX is out of date.  This program requires a newer version." when I try to install the program.  Ideas?

 

I have a Dimension 2400 with Windows XP.

 

I was using the program as installed when the system was new but it was starting to freeze up so I thought reinstalling it might do the trick...........not.
