Second hard drive problem
Hi there !
I want to add 1TB hard drive (SATA) . my system is Dell optiplex gx 620 small form factor .
please guide me my pc support two hard drives or not ???

Hello,
I don't believe that there is room for a second hard drive in the small form factor for the GX 620. If you take a look at the user's guide for the GX 620, and scroll down to around page 28, it appears that there isn't any room for one between the existing HDD slot and the motherboard.
Have you taken off the cover on that system and looked at the components inside? Do you see an area to hold another hard drive tray? I don't have one of those system to look at but my suggestion would be to get an external hard drive for that system instead of trying to add an internal. I just don't think there is room for it.

Sorry to say, the OptiPlex GX 620 SFF has no support for an additional hard drive. The motherboard [see page 149] has 1 x SATA connector/controller, a floppy drive connector, plus an IDE connector/controller for one device, that's in the compact SFF version is for the optical drive [page 156].

thanks Todd . i looked inside the system i seems to be no room for second HDD . i think external drive is way for me thanks :)
