second floppy drive in dimension 8300

I am currently running a dimension 8300 1024mb of ram, ati Radeon agp graphics, SoundBlaster live.

I was wondering since the 8300 has only one floppy drive(3.5) and bios support for one 1.44mmb fdd, I would like to know if adding a dual channel floppy drive controller would let me use 2 fdd's

my intention is to have a 5.25 floppy drive and a 3.5 floppy drive run simultaneously

I'm using MS_DOS 6.22 and when locating floppy drives a: and b: are read as the same 3.5 drive
