SD Drive on Dell E6530 Won't Stay Operational
My SD disk drive works if I run troubleshooting after booting up. However, after shutting down and re-booting it is inoperable again. I can't find a permanent solution. Any help will be appreciated.

Try reinstalling the chipset driver.

Hi Dcseny,
When you boot the system, open control panel and see if you see an error next to your SD drive.
When you post back, please also provide your operating system.

First, thank you for replying and offering your assistance.
I have been working on it today and while it may be temporary...it is working now.
It seems to be the Chipset 216 Root 6 and it was disabling every time I booted up.
Now it seems to be staying enabled and hopefully it does.
Thanks again for your offer and helpfulness.
I'll reach out to you if my fix does not stay fixed.
Thanks

Well, the "fix" didn't hold from yesterday.
When I rebooted this morning the SD drive was not recognizable/reachable.
I have isolated the problem to the Chipset Root 6 item when I open Device Manager via right click.
Nothing is highlighted or checked in yellow.
However, the Root 6 item is disabled and I didn't disable it.
Most times when I reboot, the Root item defaults/goes to disable.
Simply enabling it fixes the problem...but I, of course, would rather not have to enable anything every day.
Can you assist?
Thanks
