Replace ST310005 28AS SATA Disk Drive For Studio XPS 7100 With SSD (SATA III)
The service tag for this computer is <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>. The current configuration is the same as the original configuration. According to the performance monitor I am disk bound. I would like to upgrade to SSD and also upgrade processor if possible. Is it worth it to upgrade? Can motherboard handle Sata III?
Thank you for your help!!!

Hi jcumens,
Yes, the system can absolutely run an SATA III SSD, although it will run at SATA II speeds.
Please provide your current processor and I'll check upgrade options.
