Precision 3640 Tower - UPGRADE to SSD?
P3640 factory config is 2 500GB 7,200rpm SATA HDD's in RAID 1. I would like to upgrade to newer, slightly larger and much faster SSD's - using something like Macrium Reflect to clone the data. However, I've never tried doing this in a system that had a RAID config - even if it's a simple RAID 1 setup. Any suggestions?

You can break current RAID 1 and select either drive to keep. Shutdown the system and remove power. Replace one old HDD drive with a new larger capacity SSD. Reconnecting power and clone the current HDD drive to the new SSD. Don't forget to select fill space of C partition on the new SSD for full larger capacity.
Shutdown and swap out the old HDD with the other new, larger capacity SSD. After boot the system with new cloned SSD, go to Disk Management, click on the boot SSD and select to create mirror. Select new SSD as the duplicate and accepted Yes to convert dynamic disks and your new SSD RAID 1 will be created.

@Chino de Oro Thank you! Would it be best to power down, remove one drive, reboot, then confirm to use just the remaining drive (in case it decides to mess up both drives by removing RAID in settings while both are still connected), then clone the new drive, remove the OG, insert the 2nd new drive and reinstitute RAID1?
