Pre-boot system assess: No HDD detected.
380 Opti w/ message: "NO hard drive detected." My WD 500Gb 7.2k HDD is less than 1 yr. old. Other tests ok...video, CPU, system, etc. I am currently on the 3rd HDD in this unit in 2+ yrs. since I've owned it. One day before "No hard drive detected, I noticed slow boot times. Can anyone chip in? Thank You. Sat. Oct. 28th: I ran an F12 diag: CPU, Video, CDROM, and System all passed. Can I run "Support Assist" when I can't boot?

Hi randy_w14,
Thanks for posting.
Apologies that your system is not working as expected.
Here is some information you may find helpful: http://dell.to/2zbJuqM
You may also want to run a systems diagnostics by pressing F 12 at startup or running Support Assist, then giving Tech Support a call for further troubleshooting. You can contact Tech Support at 1-800-624-9896 or 1-800-288-4410, or you can initiate a chat session http://dell.to/2v4snVm

Robert P, Hello & good morning...well, it's morning here. I did run an F12. Video, CDrom, cpu and system all passed. Can I run Support Assist when I can't even boot up? I am already tiring of driving to the local library for internet. Thanks, Randy.

I now have code:2000-0151. is that because I removed the CD drive and didn't it? I plugged in a brand new SSd and stll came up with "no boot device."
