Plugged in, not charging
Well I hope this is the right category, there does not seem to be a good fit for my problem.
Firstly, what is the a reason why I cannot run most of my applications well enough so I can use them with a weak battery even though the computer is plugged in, and is there a work around?
Secondly, how to I fix this problem? I have tried:
-Using a wall outlet directly
-Shutting down, opening the battery and doing my best to remove any debris
-Shutting down, restarting in various orders as well as plugging/unplugging various power connection components in the hopes the white light below the touchpad will magically remain on somehow.
Also of note the computer does remember how to recharge normally on the rare occasion but I have now made dozens of attempts with no dice
Thanks very much

Hi Mitenko,
Thanks for posting. Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.
Have you been able to get it to come on at all? If so, please run a systems diagnostics by pressing F12 at startup or by running Dell SupportAssist.
Here is information from the Dell knowledge base you may find helpful:
Dell PC does not turn on or boot into Windows
