Ongoing problem with ripped audio MP3s - Dell DW316 DVDRW drive

I am the original owner of a Dell DW316 DVDRW drive (Serial Number: 7B2-01J2-CN-08J15V-HLC00-7B2-01J2-A00).

I have had ongoing problems with the drive as follows.  When I rip MP3 audio from a music CD in the drive - the resulting MP3 file not only contains audio from the given track, but also a portion of audio from the next track on the CD.

This is especially a problem on classical music CDs that contain multi-movement works such as symphonies or sonatas,  whereby an audio track of a given movement that I might rip from a CD not only contains that track, but also a portion of audio from the next track on the music CD.

This is a problem with the drive itself, not the application.  I've done audio ripping in ITunes, Windows Media Player, and other apps -- all result in the same issue.
