New Hard Drive for Precision 3620 - Select Reset - Fails to reinstall, stating a partition is missing

I had the original SSD fail on a Precision 3620. Have replaced the SSD Sata drive with a new, larger drive.

I have a Dell reinstallation disk provided when purchasing the workstation. When running the Reset, I select the option to install a fresh new copy of the OS. The process proceeds, but stalls quickly, reporting a partition is  missing. IIRC, recovery disks would automatically format a new drive, add partitions as needed, and install the Windows OS as originally sent from the factory. This recovery disk is not performing that function.

The DELL CD does say "Operating System", "Already on your computer", "Use this disc only to reinstall the operating system on a Dell computer".

Am I missing something or not following the correct process?

TIA.
