Lenovo IdeaPad S340, WD19 not recognizing monitors
Good Morning
I am currently working from home and have been given a docking station Dell WD19 so I can use two monitors - I have a work laptop which is a Dell Latitude 3301 and I plugged 1 monitor into the HDMI port of the docking station and 1 into the display port as well as a keyboard and mouse each plugged into a separate USB port - Everything worked as soon as I plugged it in and have no issues however.
I also have a Lenovo IdeaPad S340 for personal use and plugged the docking station into this in exactly the same way as above but both monitors are not being recognized - the mouse and keyboard are working fine though (I'm using them now!) but the monitors are not, they are just sat in standby mode - I have triple checked all the cables etc. and are all plugged in and as I said, it's all being recognized by my work laptop.
I have downloaded the latest drivers for both the docking station and graphics card and re booted several times but I've had no luck. I am also updated to the latest version of Windows 10 (both laptops have Windows 10) I can plug 1 monitor in via the USB port on the Lenovo and it works fine so seems to be an issue with the docking station.
Not sure if this is an issue but the cable that goes from the docking station into the laptop has a little light on it which illuminates when my Dell work laptop is plugged in but not the Lenovo - I have assumed this is because it's Dell to Dell but thought it was worth mentioning.
I have scoured the web for an answer but I cannot find anything, leading me to post in here
Any suggestions would be very welcomed!
thanks

Thank you! We have received the required details.
Since the WD19 worked on the Dell Laptop, you should post the issue on Lenovo Forum.

HI guys,
I have updated recently to the latest WD19 and have an XPS 13 running Windows 10. The WD19 has replaced an old docking station. Same monitor, same laptop and now EVERY time I turn on the laptop and/or docking station the monitor is not recognised. The only way I can get it to work is to unplug the power cable from the WD19 and plug it back in. Then it recognises the monitor first time. This is VERY frustrating!

At least yours works in some capacity but that sounds like a pain.... I have nothing, no screens, tried the power cable and still nothing - Dell sent me several messages getting all sorts of info from me just to tell me to go to Lenovo - not helpful at all.

Same here. I ordered my brand new Vostro laptop as a desktop replacement. I keep the lid closed. I can no longer turn it on from the docking station and have the external monitor recognized immediately. I have to unplug the video cable and/or open the laptop and reboot to get the monitor recognized. Dell products are new to me and I have to say, not impressed. Already looking for a replacement.

Hi, I have the same issue. Headset, Keyboard and mouse all working, but no monitors being recognised. Have tried to detect monitors, but no luck. The light at the end of the cable (at the C-socket) doesn't light up with this laptop, but does with all others.
