Issues with WD15 docking station working with Surface Laptop 4

I'm having issues with getting WD15 docking stations to work with Surface Laptop 4.

When I connect docking station to USB-C port on Surface Laptop it completely reboots my system as if it crashes my operating system but if I turn the laptop on with docking station already connected it doesn't reboot it picks up the mouse and keyboard that's connected to docking station but won't the display screens.

Sometimes when you reconnect and disconnect docking station it will either charge device or won't charge or it will pick up ethernet connection.

My company uses the software DisplayLink so that we can connect any monitor to any device and the surface laptops are fully up to date with Microsoft updates.

Device: Surface Laptop 4 - 13.5 in. i5 8GB

DisplayLink version: 10.2.6709.0 (Latest version)

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Updated the firmware on docking station by using a Dell laptop.
  2. I've tried another docking station in my office experienced same kind of scenarios that I listed above (My colleagues that are based in UK have the same issues but our offices in the US don't experience any issues with connecting W15 docks to surface laptops 4.)
  3. Only way I can get the screens to work is by temporarily disconnecting cables for monitors and reconnecting them again.

The docking stations are not under warranty anymore.

Have you found any solution for this? I have exactly the same setup and my Intel-CPU Surface Laptop 4 keeps crashing non-stop, when connecting to a Dell USB Dock.
