Ray,

That's great.

You will also, need a 3.5" to 2.5" bay adaptor, similar to This:

Which computer model?

Regards to the cables, if you have a desktop and with a SATA  C /: hard drive, then the existing SATA data and power cables should fit.

Ray,

'Dell XPS' refers to series of computers, not the actual model.

There should be a number following the XPS, see Here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_XPS

There is a Studio XPS [aka Studio XPS 435MT], could this be your system?

I have a 435MT model (not the same as yours), and I simply bought a SATA cable along with my SSD.

I simply attached the SSD with a small screw in the bay area below the BluRay/ DVD drive.

Works fine!

Yet to buy a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter. :)
