Installing 2nd hard drive in Optiplex 380
Trying to install my secondary data drive from another computer into an Optiplex 380. What I have learned and done so far is to install the drive, enter bios setup to enable the SATA 2 port, then restart. Windows recognized the drive on startup and reported that the driver was installed successfully. I see it in device manager and it claims it is working properly but it doesn't show in explorer or in disk manager. The drive is a Samsung HD501LJ that was working with no problem in the other system. Any Help?

I figured it out. It was showing as Disk 1 in disk manager but with no drive letter or volumn info. I just had to right click on it and select add to get it to be seen and have a letter asigned to it.

Plus, you have to go into the hard drive properties and set the security setting to allow all users full control or it won't let you change any files.
