Increase C Drive

Hi my C drive on my Dell Inspiron 17 3780 is running low at 8G remaining, I've done the necessary clean ups etc, can some one advise how I can increase my C drive please.  I've read to either replace with M.2 SSD with a higher capacity, or add a 2.5" SATA drive but I don't know if this is acceptable to my version/spec of laptop as its was purchased in 2020.  Also are there any self help guides if this is the route to go down.
