How to get XPS One 2710 to recognize new 256 GB mSATA disk in BIOS
Hello,
When I install my new V-NAND SSD 850 EVO mSATA drive (256 GB) in my XPS One 2710 it doesn't show up on the BOOT tab in the BIOS. If I put back the original 32gb SATA drive it shows up.
I updated the BIOS and the mSATA 256 GB drive shows up on the Main tab about the bottom under SATA in the BIOS, and if I do a CTRL I it lists in the menu but it won't let me select it to format it as a RAID drive.
My intention is to install Windows 10 on the new mSATA drive.
Thank you.

You need to break the RAID array. Set the drive in AHCI mode - then do the install.
Take BOTH the cache AND the hard drive out of the system (or just disconnect them) before proceeding.

I got Windows 10 installed on the SATA 256 GB drive and its running well. I removed the hard drive and formatted the entire disk 1TB (NTFS) but when I put it back in the BIOS doesn't see it and it doesn't show up as a drive after Windows 10 boots up.
Any idea how I can get the hard drive visible so I can use it for data?
Thanks for your help.

Make sure RAID is OFF, and that the drive is solidly connected to the board.
