HDD Compatability
I want to upgrade my Precision M6600 from a 750GB HDD to a 2TB HDD. The Seagate drives I am considering are 7mm thick and the original drive is standard 9.5mm, am I going to have problems with a thinner drive?

Hi,
It'll be fine with 7mm drives, you just need to make sure that the interfaces are properly aligned. Usually the best way of doing this is to turn the system upside down or on it's side when inserting the drive, similar to this:

Install the drive with a spacer.
