Harddrive No boot device found Alien X51 R1

Ok so im currently at a jobcorps facility and one of the Tech guys formatted and installed windows 8.1 on my hard drive from a old dell tower.
My pc "Alienware" is not detecting the hard drive so we tested it on 3 different towers and it runs fine.
if you need any more information i can provide.
i'm currently running a internal diagnostic ill let you know if that fixes it.
