Harddisk Security SATA Port 0 lock

Hi guys,

I've encountered Harddisk Security SATA Port 0 lock during bootup and was prompted to key in a password. May I know where should I get this password?

Regards,

Daniel

It would have to have been set by you or another user.  If you don't know the password, you can contact Dell to have the CMOS portion removed (you'll need to place a voice call to Dell and be prepared to verify your ownership of the system).  That won't remove the password from the drive itself.  Once that's been done, the cheapest option is to replace the drive.

If you must have the data on a locked drive with an unknown password, the drive will need to be sent to a data recovery service to have the password removed.
