External DVD-RW Drive compatible withDell Inspiron 16 Plus
I'm wanting to purchase an External DVD-RW Drive for my Dell Inspiron. The one I found on dell.com doesn't show it is compatible with my laptop. Any suggestions?

A current model of external DVD-RW is Dell DW316 https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-usb-slim-dvd-rw-drive-dw316/apd/429-aauq/storage-drives-media. It's compatible with most computers, laptops, including non-Dell brands. It's compatible and should work well with your Inspiron 16 Plus.

@koreysmith Any optical drive that connects to the computer via USB will work. However, if you want to use the optical drive for burning discs or for playing back video DVDs, be aware that many of these drives come with a version of CyberLink Media Suite that is 10+ years old, and may not be compatible with Windows 11. You may need to use alternatives, like CDBurnerXP, AnyBurn, or MPC-HC. If you are just going to read CDs or data DVDs, then installing such software isn't necessary.
