Error Code 2000-0156 on 7706

I'm getting error Code 2000-0156 when running diagnostics on a Dell 7706.  Two years old and out of Dell warranty. The Intel site says there is a 5 year warranty on the SSD. 

Does this error code indicate a complete failure of the Optane SSD?

Does Intel horror the warranty or does Dell process the warranty on the Intel device?
