Error code 2000-0142
Hello my laptop doesn't start, after the self test I got the error code 2000-0142 validation 110717, what do I have to do to fix it? Thank you.

As the laptop does not boot, one of the easiest procedures for transferring the files and folders, is to remove the failed hard drive from the laptop and use a USB adaptor similar to THIS, attach the hard drive to an USB port on a working computer, then try to transfer the files and folders to it.
If the hard drive is too damaged, the above may not work, then you would need the services of a data recovery company and this could be expensive.
Note: Only data files and folders can be transferred, any applications, utlities and programs, need to be reinstalled from their CD's, or downloaded from the publisher's website.

Thank you for the answer, is there anyway to make a backup of the disk to recover the information or is completely lost

Error Code 2000-0142, indicates a failing/failed hard drive and you need to replace it.
If you have a Dell warranty in effect, contact Dell's technical Support for a replacement hard drive.
