ePSA error on Hard drive

Hello,

my Alienware is still under warranty and the HD has been playing up.

Windows was throwing errors in the action centre for a while and most application have ground to a halt. Sometimes the system hangs for up to 10 minutes before playing catch up.

I ran the ePSA and the system checks fais the hard drive test.

I can't however input it in the "already have an error code from running ePSA diagnostics?" section in the support part of the web site.

This is what I get:

Error: 2000-0142

Validation code: 123200 (it was (114425 yesterday)

Part serial number: 5VPCRH55

Service tag is  [Admin NOTE: Service tag removed per TOU policy]

What can I do to fix this?

The error code indicates the hard drive has failed, or is failing and you need to replace it.

As there's a Dell warranty in effect, you need to contact Dell's Technical Support for the replacement hard drive.
