DVD+RW only recording onto CD's, not dvd's
I have had a problem with my dvd-writer. The device is "unknown" in the hardware devices section of my system. I can burn CD's but not DVD's.
Can anyone help??

I have your problem with a inspiron 9100 with a dvd writer HL-DT-ST DVD + RW GCA 4040N but i don't find a firmware for this device. if you find with google this device there are many people that had this problem but i don't find any solution for this problem.
