Docking Station Suggestions for D3100 and D6000
Please forward to product manager Suggestion
The next time you design a "docking station" please consider changing the layout of the device so that all connectors for peripherals and monitors are on the same side, and only place the power connector on the opposing side (or on a perpendicular side).
Background
I have a D3100 and (mostly) like it. My primary complaint is that by having some connectors on the rear and some on the front, cabling, cable management, and device placement are awkward. Yes, you would have to elongate the product to do this, but you could also make it narrower (perhaps, depending on the size of the power supply).
Benefits
I would by more of these for the other laptops we have and I would recommend them to my networking students. (I already own 3)
Thank you,
Dave
