Dell Premier Wireless Mouse (WM527) scroll wheel can scroll up/down/right only

Apologies if this is not the right place to post this question. I couldn't find a suitable forum that lists mouse and keyboards.

I recently bought a mouse and keyboard set from Dell. The mouse (WM527) has a scroll wheel that can scroll up/down/right but not left? Is there an issue with the hardware? When scrolling right, the wheel leans right with an audible click but there isn't any movement when I try to lean the scroll wheel left and no audible click. Would someone be able to help please?
