Dell Inspiron: New Drive Won't Boot
I have a 3 year old Dell Inspiron 13 5378. The hard drive went bad so I bought a new one and replaced it. The old hard drive was a disk and the new one is an SSD solid state drive. When I start the laptop now it says "No bootable drive found." I played around in Bios and I see that the computer recognizes there is a 1 TB SATA drive attached. Is there some way for me to get it to boot into Windows or was the Windows setup stored on the old hard drive? Do I have to buy a new copy of Windows, which I would dearly love to do because Bill Gates needs some more of my money, or do I have any other options?
