Dell Inspiron 3891 Desktop PC Upgrade from HDD to SSD
My client asked me to upgrade her Dell Inspiron 3891, I purchased a crucial internal SSD one terabyte the same size as the HDD, but no matter what changes I make in the BIOS the system refuses to accept the new SSD, even after initialising and formatting the SSD whenever I try to boot from the Microsoft creation USB to install windows 11, it begins ok then fails to show the SSD as an option to install Win11. I then decided, maybe because there is no UEFI system installed it may be best to install on the drive using another computer. So I used my personal desktop PC to install Windows 11 on the SSD without a hitch, then put the SSD into the Dell computer again and once again it refuses to see the new SSD. I’ve always been a big advocate of Dells BIOS software, I’ve always thought it very informative and extremely comprehensive with extensive customisation, however the latest BIOS system is confusing. Also why on earth is Dell making it so difficult to upgrade your own system when in the past they have been one of the few tech companies that have made upgrades as easy as possible?
