Dell Inspiron 17 7779 2 in 1 / no hard drive detected

My computer stoped working a while back, it would say no hard detected in bios. 

Replaced the harddrive and when I checked bio it says it's not detected. 

Is there some kinda of protocol or something I have to do to install a new hard drive ? 

Could it be the connection from the harddrive to what ever it connects too ?
