Dell G7 7588 won't launch with M.2 drive inserted
Hello:
I have a Dell g7 7588. It came with a 256 Hynix SSD M.2, which I decided to upgrade. I bought a Crucial 2.5 Ssd, which I installed in the empty slot, and which I wanted to make my OS drive from which I launched Windows. I got a Gigabyte M.2 2280 1 Terabyte NVME drive to increase storage, using the M.2 drive which is now free.
My problem is, when I insert the Gigabyte drive, the computer wont launch. I already changed the boot order to use the Crucial drive in which I cloned my OS, and if I leave it as the only drive, or if I insert the original 256 Hynix drive but leave it second in the boot order, it launches without any problems, and everything works as normal.
As soon as I insert the Gigabyte drive, it stays stuck at the Dell log, or if I press F2 or F12, ir stays stuck in "preparing one-time boot menu", with the Dell logo in the middle, the blue bar filled up, and the message in the top right corner. It wont go beyond that, just stays stuck there.
Somewhere I read it might be a power source problem, though from what I had found before my laptop should be compatible with this Gigabyte drive. I tried using Legacy boot, and nothing changed, though I'm not sure I did it correctly.
Please help!
