Dell 3668 hz5cdh2 SSD Upgrade Power Issues
We have a new Inspiron 3668 that does not POST when we attach a 240GB Sandisk SSD via the 6-pin SATA PWR 2 or add a SATA Power Splitter. Power light on PSU flickers green when the SSD gets plugged into motherboard power. Is there a A UEFI config I'm missing?

Leave the data cable disconnected - connect only the power. Does the system then POST?

Nope. I even tried bypassing the HDD to use the sata power cable that comes in the unit. No dice.

If you get the same thing on any SATA connector from the PS, its the drive that's faulty.

Could you kindly point me to the cable you used to connect the SSD to the PWR 2 socket?
I cannot find a 6 pin male / 15 pin female (if that's the right one)
