I am not able to connect my External Hard Drive with Inspiron 5406 2 in 1, Dell support keep asking for Service tag but takes nothing from w
hat's available on disk

This is a fairly old drive and can suffer from read errors and that will mean the drive does not get ready to mount in Windows, then was this drive dropped some time and where are you located more or less.
