Clone system HDD to SSD and install SSD as system disk install additional disks for data and backup

Xps 8920 i5: has a 32GB M.2 SSD capacity is insufficient as the boot – O/S, therefore the system disc is the 2TB spinning disc? If that’s the case can I clone the 2TB boot disk to a 2TB EVO SSD? And replace spinner with cloned 2TB SSD for the increased performance offered.

Refit the spinner in a drive bay to use as a spare system disc with large partition as a system backup. Not sure what Warranty situation would be?

Xps8920 i7: is the 256MB M.2 used as the system disk

Can I purchase a set of installation media In the event, the O/S suffers a terminal failure

Thanks

The 32G drive is a cache for the main hard drive - since you'll likely be changing from RAID to AHCI to install a native SSD, you're better off doing a factory recovery/clean install on the new drive.

You can't purchase media any longer but you can use the Windows 10 media creation tools to make a recovery flash drive.
