cd/rw drive not accessible - error message

When I put a blank CD-R in my samsung cd/rw drive I get the message "E:/ not accessible".

The drive seems to work OK when I insert CD that have content. Any ideas?

How about your hardware details? What model Dimension, what model drive (listed in device manager)? What program is giving you this message?

It's a Dell Dimension 4500

Device Manager is SAMSUNG CD-R/RW SW-240B

OS is apparently promopting me with the error message (E:\ is not accessible")

Check your burning program for a utility to check the disc. It should recognize a blank disc and tell you the capacity. I'm guessing Roxio came installed on your system. Make sure you do not have Drag to disc installed.
