CD Drive is Listed as USB and Won't Read Disks

CD Drive is Listed as a USB Drive and Doesn't Read Disks.

Also, one disk drive works and will read a particular disk I have with photos on it, but doesn't recognize a blank disk. Therefore, I can't transfer anything onto blank disks from my PC. The disks are different brands, but the same type.

These are both problems I need to solve. I need to know how to make my PC recognize the CD Drive as such, and find out a possible cause of why my other (working) CD Drive doesn't recognize a blank disk.
