Can I Install an SSD into my Old Dell Laptop?
I recently have found one of my old laptops in my garage and was wondering if I could upgrade it's 40gb HDD to an SSD. It's a Dell Inspiron 1150. So can I put in an SSD? If not, is there any other way that I can upgrade it at all?

That model requires a parallel-ATA (EIDE or PATA) drive -- there aren't many SSDs in that format, and those that still exist in it, are likely priced way out of proportion to capacity.
It's not a practical upgrade, no.
