Bios Inspiron 620 Nvme m.2
My desktop for the Inspiron 620, latest bios I could find A10 has no Nvme m.2 or any type of SSD recognition.
I installed a 1tb Nvme m.2 through the PCIe slot x1 and windows 10 automatically recognized the drive and assign it a letter.
I want to boot through the m.2 but my bios doesn't have it listed. So I'm thinking of installing a Linux with a grub bootloader and see if that would work before I clone/ghost my HDD onto the m.2.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

It is possible that your Dell Inspiron 620 desktop's BIOS does not support booting from NVMe M.2 drives. In this case, installing a Linux distribution with a Grub bootloader may not solve the problem.
One possible solution is to install a boot loader like rEFInd that supports NVMe M.2 drives. This may require additional configuration and tinkering with the BIOS settings.
Alternatively, you could consider using a PCIe to M.2 adapter card that is explicitly supported by your motherboard or BIOS to ensure compatibility.
Before making any changes to your system, it is recommended to backup your data and create a system restore point in case something goes wrong during the process.
