Additional Internal Storage for EBT 2250

I want to install a 3rd fast internal storage drive on an EBT 2250. Dell says it's not "tested and validated" but do you think a Samsung 870 EVO SATA SSD will work in my EBT 2250? Is a a 4TB drive too large? Is another drive a better choice?
