Additional 3.5" internal drive on Inspiron 3668

How can I add a second 3.5" internal drive on this?  It appears that there's a bay for 3.5" drives, with a single HD and a DVD-RW drive, and a second (empty) bay for 2.5" drives.  Is this PC really only meant to have 2.5" drives added?

Unfortunately, yes, it does.

Thanks, Bev.  I thought maybe I was missing some clever way to shoehorn in another drive.  I think I have a plan for getting what I need, without the other drive being internal.

Personally, I would install a 2.5" SATA HD as an addititional second drive.

All my desktops have both 2.5" internal SSD's and HD's and never had any issues from using them.

How would you get power to the additional hard drives, only have power for dvdrw and 3.5" Sata. Is there another power cord or splitter?

There is a 2nd connection down near the bottom of the board for power and data cables. Pretty poor from Dell to only have space for one 3 1/2" drive.

What type of SATA power cable do I need?

It's a good thing you aren't a Dell employee because you're telling people that they can't add a 2nd 3.5" internal SATA HDD in the Dell Inspiron 3668 desktop PC when clearly you can. You will need to purchase a power cable and data cable for this drive, however, since there is no power lead from the power supply for a 2nd HDD or a data cable. Connecting the power cable to the motherboard and to the drive as well as the data cable to the drive and motherboard will work just fine. These cable do not need to be purchased from Dell.
