Adding another SATA CDROM to XPS 8900
I have added an additional SATA CDROM to my 8900. They both work but I am curious about which SATA ports on the motherboard are optimum for the CDROMs to plug into. Thanks.

Hello! CD-Rom's can only send and receive so much data, far less then the max of a SATA 3 Port let alone the SATA 6 ports that seem to be in your computer, as such you don't have to worry about which port to use.

Thanks for the info. I am comfortable with the SATA ports I selected now. I did not like the drive letters assigned the CDROM's so I used Disk Management and selected different letters. All happy now.
