Add internal HDD to XPS 8920

I've noticed the primary hard drive is powered from the mother board. It also looks like the CD ROM drive is powered from the same area from plug labeled SATA 2. Should a secondary drive be powered the same way? It appears there are additional plugs on the mother board for two additional SATA drives. They are labeled SATA 3 and SATA 4. The PC did not come with cables for these plugs so I will have to buy them. Also is there anything special I need to do after I install the drive. The drive is already formatted.

The SATA connection does not supply power, only data. The power comes from connectors on the cables from the power supply. You will have to buy SATA data cables, so consider where you are going to mount the hard drive and whether or not you need right angle connectors or straight connectors or a combination of both on your SATA cable. You may not have enough space for a straight SATA connection if you mount the hard drive in the bottom bay because the side panel may not have enough space to close.
