EMC STORAGE Analytics for VNX Standalone?
Just quick question do I get any data if I don't have vCOPs installed ? Is vCOP's a required component or can I install it as a standalone product? I would guess if it is supported as a stand alone product I would not have any correlation of data to the VM's

But without vCOPS do I get any data ? Is vCOPS a requirement for a functional product ?

Yes, we sell ESA as a standalone product which is integrated with vCOPs (delivered as vApp) but there will be no correlation to VMware objects or VMware metrics. You would only get VNX metrics.

We provide a custom build of vCOPS with the adapter for customers that do not have it - it is the basis of the ESA product. You don't need to have vCOPS already, nor any license. When you deploy the custom build you will configure a VNX adapter instance which will collect metrics from your VNX and display them in the custom interface of vCOPS.
